For once in my life...

I wanna do something crazy

something that I never thought I'd do before.

(I just can't get you out of my head!)

 Lisa wa Maiddo-sama!

bahahahahhaa *laughs at the title* Now that's some si ai bin title.

Ehems anyway. This has to be my first cosplay ever. But I find it hard to answer to people asking what I'm cosplaying cuz this isn't representing any particular character. I just dressed up as maid for the maid cafe. However it IS still a costume and I'm the player!

 ta-dah~
(disappointed cuz I didn't have a wig like every one else did ;_;)

I got to know bout the event way before Xmas. Don't know what was I thinking that I actually clicked "SEND" a PM to one of the organizer asking for a reserved spot in the Maid Cafe Moe Kissa Corner. Lol Lol Lol

Of course I was doubtful and really cringing, fighting with my own rationality when I needed to give my final comfirmation if I'm able to join. Cuz the place was really limited! Did it anyway.

Since the costume is actually borrowable and I didn't have to pay to have my own costume so I thought why not just go for it and it's a rare opportunity anyway. So during the 1st sem break I did all the preparation for it including doing my hair, buy makeup and getting a pair of knee-high black socks.

No shoes though! Searched all round Penang Queensbay and didn't find one that fits or suits the style (and to my liking). So was stucked wearing my mismatched dark-blue heels and my feet were aching like hell after the event ended.

Was really nervous waiting as the day of the event draws nearer. Lots of stupid things went through my head like "am i gonna trip and fall in front of everyone" or "will there be stalkers???". One of my biggest concern is the condition of maid costume itself! Cuz it's a question of me looking like a slut with skanky or scantily designed French maid outfit or I would simply be hanging my head low, wearing an oversized outfit, cursing **FTS!** all through the event.
THANKFULLY the outfit turned out decent and pretty okay, ay? It fits too! My favorite color some more so it's all good. At least it wasn't dreadfully pink or yellow. I was little bit shocked and disappointed to find out that it's not liddis one:

T-T uhuuu~ I wanted a black and white one so can look more lolita-ish. This one sho nice.

Anyhoo, the cosplayers were there voluntarily to promote and support Japan's culture. Another of the main focus is recruiting cosplayers to become the official members of Lost Gospel group.

So ini dia logo Lost Gospel! If you'd noticed, in the invitation card there's a logo of Saber of Fate/Stay Night anime. This cosplayer is the logo and main attraction, cosplaying Saber Lily. Guy, by the way! Not a she.

Ah, Miko's favorite character. Forgot what's the name. Karin? Kanon? ......Konon?

 Gintoki from Gintama

Sennen Hakushaku (the Millennium Earl) from D.Gray ManLol with his Lero umbrella.

Lolita and Ciel Phantomhive coser of Kuroshitsuji anime.

Sebastian Michaelis of Kuroshitsuji anime too. Haven't caught him "in action" with the Ciel coser. His costume looks so well made. Men in tailcoats do make me swoon.

Say hi to my bunny "colleague" from Maid cafe. XD

People say he's from Katekyo Hitman? =___= Don't know much. He or she??

this is my other butler colleague. She's one smokin' hot butler isn't she? Yes you read it right. SHE. Ah, I haven't got to know her name. She was pretty um... Aloof and quiet *.* Ooh sad. I did not take a picture with my other maid colleague too.

To be honest I don't know the cosers' names even until today cuz they all go by their cosplayer alias name. Didn't talk much to them either :\ Mandarin speaking folks and I feel so "outcast".

Lastly,
Mini figurine showcase.

Some belongs to the photographers and some belongs to the army/solder cosplayer.

My mostest favoritesttesttest figurine Nendoroid version, Black Rock Shooter. Really want to cosplay this character but Fadly don't let me x_X look at what she's wearing on her chest.
This has got to be every collector's must-have, Hatsune Miku figurine.
Hatsune Miku winter snow version, Nendoroid Puchi. So cute can die!!!!

 K-ON! Ritsu.

Okay this one need the MASTER's eye, Niki Chong! I don't know if these Nendoroids are made this way or it's fake cuz the shape of the eyes really tidak betul.

Ini character tak tau lah.

Although I'm a little bit disappointed cuz I didn't get to know the cosplayers better, it's still a good experience. Made me addicted to posing and taking pictures too IN A COSTUME +_+ I don't mean it as I'm so vain.

I don't know. I've been thinking a lot bout cosplays even after the event ended. Like something in me sparked and I can't help but to feel that way... (aiseh berbunganyer the words).
What I mean is, right now I have the strong urge and interest to further my cosplay experience. Problem is, to really get into this kind of thing it's best to have "connections". Photographers, costume providers and friends to go for competitions in a group all that.

And yea,

money$$$ too.

I simply love writing whatever that comes across my mind yet I have not the ample time to actually sit down, lay back and just write whatever I want to. I'd like to post whatever that comes on my mind on Facebook but seriously I feel somewhat "exposed" and "naked" if I do that cuz seriously, Facebook doesn't provide 100% privacy.

So blogging is the best way to do that (since I dislike Tweeter), also despite I have small number of readers after all this is my journal.

And some more, when you're feeling stress and so occupied that you keep thinking you have  homework/assignments to finish, whatever that flows out of your mind is something like this;

How is it possible to blog like that?

My times mostly has been occupied by my web design project. It's ONE coursework that has the biggest percentage marks like ever, that's 40%.

Basically used a lot of Photoshop for creating layout and then Dreamweaver for HTML coding. Really learned a lot from all the trials and errors and one of the lecturer was like lansi to explain and say "find out yourself". And so I did. Spending most of my days until 3a.m, latest (or should I say "earliest") was 5.30a.m wtf I spent it in the study room accompanied by mosquitoes.

But anyway, it's all good if that means I could finally design a decent and likable blog template, my very own style! Srsly getting bored with my current one I get bored with things too easily.

I dealt with lots of HTML and CSS coding. Before I was like wtfhowdoyouactuallyplacethiscodetomakeitwork, get pissed off and totally abandoned the editing. Now...... there's HOPE!

Here's a sneak peek at one of my web pages.
My theme was an online gallery showcasing my art, designs and photography.

I  was the very last to present. Imagine how does that feel huh? After looking at everyone's work, get awe inspired and you start comparing with your own work, then lastly you get to present. It's seriously stressing.

But the thing was, everyone got commented and critique from the lecturers.............

EXCEPT ME.

I was like whatthe no comment cuz everyone wants to go home?
But when I was one-on-one with one of the two lecturers (the one who's not lansi), she said "very good job" and simply smiled. I dunno. I don't want to put my hopes too high.

All in all, it has always been my principle that if I want to do something I'm gonna put my best effort forth. Or I don't do it at all. Somehow I realize this only applies in my effort for designing =w= Needs to improve more.

Two big events to blog about coming up!

Despite being almost pokai at that time due to excessive shopping for CNY, I still went along with my church friends and few friends of friend to Matsuki Japanese restaurant before the start of my CNY holiday break.

Why?

Why wouldn't anyone want to go to a japanese restaurant where you can haz cushion to sit on floor eating on low table like real japanese with real japanese sliding doors for a real good Japanese dining ambiance?

..

On with the food!

Majority of us sakai (I look crappy in this pic sighs)
From left ; Sharon, me, Mei Kian, Kai Bin, Wong, two friends of friend, Jasper and
another boy in far right whom unfortunately the waitress somehow missed spotting him at the corner so he's not in the picture.

The rooms are separated by sliding doors. This one connects to an empty room the other side. The sliding doors (fusuma) are a bit heavy to slide open, creating frictional sounds. Plus the white screens are made of plastic when it's originally made up of screen paper (shoji) where you see in most anime you can actually poke your finger through and ruin it. =w= the owner probably wants to save cost from constantly changing the damaged screen made by sakai customers like me.

Waiting for our food.

And when the food came, everyone's cameras were out and went all "I want to take pic of your food can I can I?"

The funny thing was that the Japanese food came mostly with unfamiliar ingredients and we were baffled bout how we were going to eat them. Lol

example,
Mei Kian's Yakiniku Shabu Shabu. It came along with RAW egg. She and I were both staring hard at the egg. Took me a while to figure out that the egg was supposed to be poured over the broth when the broth was still boiling in order to either cook/half-cook the egg.

Sharon's tempura udon (wheat flour noodle) set.

Comes with vegetables and meat crisply fried.

Again, there's raw egg but this one was it quill egg.

The rest other than Mei Kian, Sharon and I pretty much have food served "normally".

Like this one, the only way you eat it is eat the meat together with the rice.

This one too.

Chuka idako (baby octopus). My side order which costs RM10 per plate. I always wanted to eat this one whole plate for myself rather than small servings with sushi rice.

This is my set. I had udon too but mine was temaki roll udon set. So not worth it, seriously! I got attracted to order this set just cuz the temaki comes with the temaki roll stand!

Looks nice but tastes horrible. Bro Kai Bin did warn me not to eat it cuz he had it before but his advice fell on deaf ears who have a big lurve for temaki. The sashimi(one on the left) was urgh... Only the california temaki (one on the right with fish roe) was bearable to eat.

back to the quill egg dilemma.
The thing is, this set came with a small bowl of shoyu (soy sauce) soup other than the miso soup. This shoyu soup was placed under this saucer of quill egg, wasabi and stuff so we didn't see it at first. We thought the bowl was just a stand.

Then I remembered watching Culture Japan by Danny Choo on Animax which showcases Japanese lifestyle, he was eating udon too. He ate the udon by sort of dipping and swishing the noodle into the shoyu sauce...

 ...Like this.

Mmmm now that taste good. Not to mention, I just love looking at the slippery glossiness of udon compared to our oily kolo mee.

 After that i taught Sharon.

Now aren't you glad you have an otaku among us?

Free tofu pudding for each of us. Nyum~

After that we had a surprise for this boy here.
Mr. Wong turning 21.

Celebrating his birthday!

Final group picture before we leave.

The rest of them paid bout 15-20 per meal. Mine totaled up was RM35 including service tax. Lol I just don't know how to hold back when it comes to Japanese food.

It was pretty late already but we still went for movie at Queensbay.

We watched Shaolin.

This is like the mostest !@#%% saddest movie to air in the cinemas RIGHT before CNY cuz almost everyone died in the movie including the main character. We didn't expect the story to be like this cuz at most we expected there will be a lot of kungfu action. So wth. Totally emo'ed right after coming out of the cinema.

 Huh! Mood spoiler much.
