Life at USM begins hereafter...

I officially hate orientations.

Scratch that. I hate IPTAs for having the need to hold an orientation for us first years.

I don't come here stay up late playing games with seniors.

I don't come here to run around in stupid "Amazing Race".

I don't come here to compete in pointless inter-dormitory cheer-leading.

I. COME. HERE. TO. STUDY.

Well, that was my first thought on the first day.

It gradually changed. Though, I can't say that I'm happy to be so far away from home. I'm not used to many things yet.

I don't like the food albeit it can go as cheap as RM1.80 per plate.

I don't like the campus for being this humongous and built on hills. Very often we have to walk against the gravity.

And I'm seriously getting home sick...........

I've never knew how much I was loved by my parents. Until I saw my mum couldn't hold back herself from crying as she hugged me before saying goodbye. And my dad... well he didn't cry but it's shown how much he's concerned about me. He bought a pack of sushi from TESCO for me the night before their flight back to Kuching. He took every sachets of tea and coffee from the hotel, he kept asking the things that I need so he could buy them and despite taxi fares are kinda expensive, he went back to the hotel where I misplaced my things there and brought them back to me. Thinking about it now even makes me cry.

And so therefore I make this promise to them that I will survive these 3 years and graduate with flying colours so their efforts will never go wasted.

Orientation is always tough. If it's not tough it's not even orientation. And it's for a good cause which is why higher-ups have never disallowed seniors to give orientation to juniors.

Our biggest hall in the campus, Dewan Tunku Syed Putra.

We have our own mini-mart called Pasar Siswa or something like that. Things sold here are rather cheap. But for a 90ml shampoo made in Thailand to cost about RM4.50 is ridiculous. And there are no bigger sized bottle.

Our campus, "kampus dalam taman". Almost every pathway leading from one building to another are shrouded by trees. Everyone has been breathing word to me before I actually came here about how hot Penang is going to be. So thankfully there are these trees. Thank you Mother Nature. Thank you USM.

Dinner with our dorm "Penghulu".

Food is so-so. Mostly spicy. =.=

Day of official welcoming ceremony for new students. Live broadcast from all 3 USM's campus. The engineering campus, the health campus and our main campus.

Our chancellery and USM staffs.

Our Pembimbing Program Siswa Lestari, in short the PPSL. They're sort of like the prefects in this campus. Thanks to their effort we were never lost in this @#%damned huge campus.

Walkrobic exercise and cheer-leading competition. The aerobic dance was really fun!

Now a sneak-peek at my SCHOOL OF ARTS.

Gallery Adiwarna.

Few of the amazing artworks.

And this was right at the center of the whole gallery!!!

Damn. I don't feel like changing to TESL anymore.

That's all for now.
